Agia.- Vereniging van gidsen-vertalers van de Alentejo, gesticht op 24 juni 2003, dit was de eerste vereniging van een toeristische informatie verstrekkende groep, van Portugal. Gevestigd in Évora , wereldpatrimonium stad van UNESCO en hoofdstad van de Alentejo.Dit is het gebied waar de leden van deze vereniging hoofdzakelijk werkzaam zijn.

Alle leden zijn officiële gidsen-vertalers , met grote ervaring in het begeleiden van bezoekers en toeristen, volledig toegerust om de individuele gast of groepen te gidsen in meerdere talen: Portugees, Engels, Spaans, Frans, Duits, Italiaans of Nederlands. .

Elke dag is er een wandeling door de museumstad Évora mogelijk, die begint om 10 uur bij de Posto de Turismo (VVV) , op het Praça do Geraldo, (Gerards plein) waar iedereen zich bij kan aansluiten. Deze wandeling gaat langs de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden van de stad.

Er bestaan nog ander city tours , b.v. Elvas, Monsaraz en Marvão, waarvoor van te voren geboekt moet worden.

Naast de gegidste tours door Évora, Elvas, Monsaraz en Marvão, zijn er nog meer mogelijkheden om de Alentejo te ontdekken, tours die we aanbevelen zijn:

-Archeologische tocht bij Évora: door het platteland rond Évora gaand, verkennen we het archeologische

patrimonium, zoals: Ante do Zambujeiro, Cromeleque doa Almendres, rotstekeningen van Escoural,

en de Romeinse villa Torega.

-Middeleeuws Monsaraz en de wijngeschiedenis. –Een tocht waarbij we de middeleeuwse stad Monsaraz ontdekken, met zijn sisterne en kasteel, met aansluitend een bezoek aan het wijngoed Esporão.

-Naaldkunstenaars van Arraiolos- De traditie van handgemaakte tapijten van Arraiolos ontdekken.

Met de mogelijkheid een atelier te bezoeken waar deze historische kunst in dit Alentejaanse dorp wordt beoefend.

-Het land van Koning Manuel 1- We gaan naar Beja, een stad waar we de manuelien stijl en de tegels bewonderen en in de voetsporen treden van Zuster Mariana Alcoforado met haar platonische passie.

-Kastelen aan de rivier de Raia- Alandroal, Juromenha, Elvas en -waarom niet- Olivença. Een vededigings linie van de nationaliteit, met zijn kastelen, burchten en eeuwenoude tradities.

-De Joodse geschiedenis in noord Alentejo- Het bewijs van de verbanning van de Joden uit Spanje in de vijftiende eeuw , gevormd door de gebouwen van Castelo de Vide en Marvão, deze laatste stad is kandidaat voor de lijst van wereldpatrimonium van UNESCO.

-De Alentejaanse kust.

AGIA – Association of Guides and Interpreters of Alentejo, founded in June 24th 2003, was the first association of experts of touristic information in Portugal, having the Alentejo as the major region and central point of this activity, with the Head Quarters in Évora, World Heritage City.

All the members are Oficial Guides with long experience in working with visitors and tourists in Alentejo, being certified to guide either individual clients or groups in several languages: English, portuguese, spanish, french, german, italian and dutch.

Every day in Évora you will have a Guide who assures a visit to this city-museum. The circuit begins in the Tourist Office, on Giraldo Square at 10 o`clock and will lead you to discover the main points of the town.

There are also in other cities, city-tours like Elvas, Monsaraz and Marvão, it needs previous booking.

Besides the guided visit of Évora, Monsaraz, Elvas and Marvão these are some of the itineraries you may choose and that we recommend to discover Alentejo:

•Évora Archaeologic Circuit - tour along the fields around the town, in contact with archaeologic sites, such as Dolmen at Zambujeiro, Cromlech of Alemendres, pre historical paintings at Escoural and the Roman Village of Tourega.

• Monsaraz and Vineyards - discovering Monsaraz a midieval town, with its cistern and fortress adding a visit to the Wine Cellars of Esporão

• Embroiders in Arraiolos – The ancient tradition of wonderful rugs and carpets, observing the perfect work done by those women. Allied to the historical patrimony of this town in Alentejo.
• The royal lands of King Manuel I – Visiting Beja means to discover Manueline, the unique Portuguese style, the tiles and the beautiful story of Soror Mariana Alcoforado and her platonic passion.
• Castles on the border - Alandroal, Juromenha, Elvas and why not Olivença. The defensive line built to preserve the nationality through castles, fortresses and ancient traditions.

La Asociación de Guías-Intérpretes del Alentejo (AGIA), fundada el 24 de junio de 2003, fue la primera asociación de profesionales de información turística en Portugal, y su área de influencia es la región del Alentejo, teniendo su sede en la ciudad de Évora, Patrimonio de la Humanidad.

Todos los miembros son guías-intérpretes oficiales con amplia experiencia en acompañar a los visitantes y turistas en el Alentejo, estando homologados para guiar a los clientes de los distintos grupos en diferentes idiomas: español, portugués, Inglés, francés, alemán, italiano y holandés.

En Évora todos los días hay un grupo abierto para su visita a esta ciudad-museo. Partiendo de la oficina de turismo en la Plaza de Giraldo, a las 10 horas, y que le llevará a descubrir los principales puntos de esta ciudad.

Der AGIA - Verband der Guides/Dolmetscher im Alentejo, gegründet am 24. Juni 2003, war die erste Vereinigung staatlich geprüfter Fremdenverkehrsfachleute für den Tourismus in Portugal, und sein Einzugsgebiet in der Region Alentejo gezielte, mit Sitz in der Stadt Évora, UNESCO Weltkulturerbe.

Alle Mitglieder sind offizielle Führer/Dolmetscher mit langjähriger Erfahrung im Begleiten von Besuchern und Touristen im Alentejo, ausgebildet und zertifiziert, um Einzelkunden oder Gruppen in verschiedenen Sprachen zu führen: Deutsch, Portugiesisch, Englisch, Spanisch, Französisch, Italienisch und Niederländisch.

Wir bieten tägliche Rundgänge in einer offenen Gruppe für Ihren Besuch in der Museumsstadt Évoras. Startpunkt ist die Touristeninformation am Praca do Giraldo, um 10 Uhr, von wo aus wir Sie führen, um die wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten dieser Stadt zu entdecken.

Auch andere Stadt-Touren in Elvas, Marvão oder Monsaraz, sind nach vorheriger Reservierung möglich.

La sua influenza si concentra principalmente sulla regione dell’Alentejo, com sede nella città di Évora, città Parimonio Mondiale.

Tutti gl’associati sono guide interpreti uficiali, con grande esperienza nel accompagnamento di visitatori e turisti nell’Alentejo. Siamo autorizzati a condurre clienti individuali e gruppi nella varie lingue: portoghese, , italiano, inglese, spagnolo, francese, tedesco e olandese.

Tutti i giorni a Évora c’é la possibilità di conoscere questa città museo. Com partenza dall’Uffico di Turismo nella Piazza del Giraldo alle 10h00, potrà scoprire i principal monumenti e loughi di interesse della città.
